Key Responsibilities:
Tyre Installation and Repairs:
- Install, balance, and mount tires on a variety of vehicles, ensuring appropriate alignment and fitment.
- Perform repairs on tires, including mending punctures, replacing valves, and repairing tread damage.
- Utilize the proper tools and equipment to perform tire-related duties safely and efficiently.

Wheel Alignment:
- Perform wheel alignment services utilizing computerized tire alignment equipment.
- Inspect suspension components and make adjustments as necessary to ensure correct alignment.
- Provide customers with alignment reports and recommendations based on findings.
Tire Maintenance and Inspection:
- Perform tire inspections to evaluate tread depth, deterioration, and damage.
- Customers should be advised on tire maintenance, rotation, and replacement based on their vehicle’s requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of tire services rendered and customer data.
Customer Service:
- Provide courteous and competent assistance to customers.
- Customers should be provided with expert advice and recommendations regarding tire selection, performance, and maintenance.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from customers.
Workshop Maintenance:
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, including the appropriate storage and disposal of tyres and related materials.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance on tire equipment to ensure its accuracy and dependability.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe workplace.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience as a Tire Technician or in a comparable automotive position is preferred.
- Expertise in the installation, repair, and maintenance of tires.
- Knowledge of wheel alignment techniques and computerized alignment apparatus
- Superior manual dexterity and technical expertise to operate a variety of instruments and equipment.
- Attention to detail and the capacity to accurately follow instructions and guidelines
- Strong customer service abilities, including the ability to communicate clearly and assist customers.
- Physical endurance and the capacity to lift and maneuver large tires are required.
- The ability to use a computer to record services and consumer information
- A driver’s license that is valid is preferred.
