We are recruiting for a Student Wellbeing Outreach Advisor within Student and Education Services. You will be part of a team of staff who support student welfare in a 24/7 timeframe. Your working hours will be on a 3-on-3 off Rota, working 12-hour shifts from 6 pm to 6 am. You will be expected to work in our main student hub in the Halls of Residence as well as on our Highfields campus.

The Student Wellbeing Outreach Adviser role is an essential role in a hardworking, compassionate, and committed team to provide support and guidance to students who are experiencing poor health, mental health, or anxiety. The position will involve being part of our Open Door service, and conducting Wellbeing Chats, as face-to-face and virtual contact with students is a daily task. It is important that you are able to maintain accurate professional records, using appropriate levels of confidentiality and responding appropriately to any security concerns that may arise.

The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and agencies including the student disciplinary team, personal education tutors, the NHS, and the police to provide effective support to the victim welfare team. could Therefore, the person should have good written and verbal communication skills.
