You may have noticed on points 4 and 5 that I asked you to prepare your resume or cover letter according to the job role advertised. This is because I want you to stand out from other job applicants who are recycling their standard CV or cover letter for all job applications. You may not be aware of this, but most job applications are screened out because those documents have nothing to do with the required job responsibilities or roles.

1- English teaching jobs in Thailand – Salary up to US$5000/month

Teaching English is one of the most sought-after occupations in Thailand, for which foreigners are hired. If you land an English teaching job in Bangkok, you can expect a monthly salary of up to US$5,000, whereas in rural cities such as Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Huahin, Pai, and Krabi, you can expect to earn around US$1,000.

If you begin working at an international private school, your monthly salary can be as high as $5,000, whereas if you begin working at a public school, it can be as low as $800.

Consequently, if you work as an English language TEFL-certified teacher, you can expect to earn up to $1,500 per month, and if you work as a bilingual teacher at any private school, you can expect to earn around $2,500 per month.

If you wish to apply for an English teacher position in Thailand, you must provide TEFL certification, a minimum bachelor’s degree, your passport from an English-speaking country, a letter of teaching experience, and a health certificate in order to obtain a Thailand work visa for foreign teachers (refer to Thai immigration).

2- Settle in Thailand on Nomad VISA as Digital Worker

Now, this option is uncommon, and I’m sure you weren’t anticipating it, so I believe you should view it as a less competitive chance to settle in Thailand on a nomad visa, allowing you to live there and work digitally as a freelancer or digital entrepreneur.

Many Canadians, US/UK citizens, and Europeans work as writers, software developers, AI experts, software testers, virtual assistants, and even YouTubers and bloggers through their laptops, travel the world, and live in many countries tax-free for years by taking advantage of Nomad visa programs. However, in this case, you must find work online as a freelancer on PPH, fiverr, upwork, 99designs, freelancer or you can start your own digital business.

3- Real Estate, Restaurant/Hotel Jobs in Thailand – Salary US$7000

You can work as a chef, concierge manager, front desk officer, or tourism manager at any international restaurant or hotel in Thailand for a salary of up to $7,000 at the Shagrila Bangkok hotel, Four Seasons hotel, or Radisson hotel if you have a graduate degree or vocational training.

On the other hand, Thailand’s real estate market has a need for foreign real estate experts due to the rapid pace of property sales and purchases in Thailand and the fact that Thai companies (Michael Page, Colliers, and CBRE) are always seeking to employ foreign staff members.
