US Announces New Requirements for Foreigners Air Travellers: The US has announced new rules for people who fly internationally. The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has told all airlines and other aircraft operators that all non-U.S. citizens and non-immigrants must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination before boarding a trip from another country to the U.S.

“As directed by the TSA, including through a security directive or emergency amendment, all airlines and other aircraft operators must also confirm one of the following for each noncitizen who is a nonimmigrant passenger before they board a flight from a foreign country to the United States:”

  • proof that you are exempt from having to be fully immunized against COVID-19.

The Indian full-service airline Air India also gave an update after the TSA released its advisory. It said, “From 00:01 EST (05:01 GMT) and 10:30 IST on January 9, 2023, all passengers going to the US must follow the travel rules set by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).”

  1. Show proof that you were fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on paper or online, according to the CDC Order and technical instructions, which include personal identification.
  2. Show proof that they are an excepted covered person, as stated in the CDC Technical Instructions, the proclamation, and the CDC Order.
  3. Each person who is covered must show an attestation that was done according to the CDC Order.

Also, the TSA says that all companies and other people who operate aircraft must collect customer information for the US government. Non-citizens and non-immigrants can obtain the required forms to show proof of vaccination by clicking the link below.

Exemptions

As long as they follow their employer’s occupational health and safety program that matches industry standards and CDC guidelines, airline and flight crew members who travel to operate VI or do not give any proof of their place.

Companies and airline owners can carry children under the age of 2 without proof of vaccination.
