Portugal Job Seeker Visa 2023: The job seeker visa allows the holder to enter and stay in Portugal only for the purpose of looking for work. It also allows the holder to perform a subordinate job until the visa expires or a residence permit is issued. This visa is valid for 120 days, can be renewed for another 60 days, and is only valid for one entry into Portugal.

To receive this visa, the applicant must be offered an appointment date by the proper services during the visa’s 120-day validity period. Following the formalization of an employment contract within that time, the applicant can apply for a residence visa.


If a person with a work visa does not find work or begins the process of obtaining a residence permit before their visa expires, they must leave the country. In certain instances, you can only apply for a new visa one year after the existing one expires.
