Our client breeds and raises fresh pork for the Australian market on their 2500-sow farm. They are seeking pig stock persons interested in joining their small yet dedicated staff. The producers have two breeding sites, each with its grower sites. One unit has 1,500 sows, while the other has 800 sows; both are housed inside and fed straw.

Tasks include:

To plan, organize, regulate, and coordinate farming operations to breed and produce piggery livestock in the breeder unit, which includes the mating shed and dry sow shed.
Farrowing shed where sows and gilts give birth and where piglets are for four weeks following birth.

If necessary, successful candidates will be required to work in all areas of pig production. If abilities are insufficient in certain areas, however, training will be provided.
