Your Role
Our Aboriginal Home Health program provides culturally appropriate in-home support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, allowing them to live independently, supported, and empowered within their own homes and communities.
Your new position as a Personal Care Worker will provide a Permanent Part-Time contract of 30 hours per fortnight in KINGSWOOD and surrounding districts.

What does your new role look like?
- Customers are assisted with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Assisting your consumers with personal care needs such as showering, toileting, and feeding.
- Assisting your customers with transportation to appointments, shopping, and social events.
- Developing and maintaining productive relationships with our customers and their families.
- To keep yourself and our clients safe, follow health and safety rules and policies.
- To effectively deliver the agreed-upon services, adhere to the customer care plan.
- Any difficulties or changes in the customer’s health and well-being must be reported through the relevant channels and standards.
About You

Does this describe you?
- 12 months of experience in an Aged Care ‘Care’ role and/or a Cert III in Individual Support (Aged Care).
- Excellent verbal and written English capabilities.
- Monday through Friday roster flexibility and availability.
- A current Australian driver’s license and ownership of a dependable, well-presented, and fully insured vehicle are required.
- You will have a valid First Aid Certificate. If you do not have one, we will arrange one for you at no cost.
- All Australian Unity staff must be completely immunized against COVID-19, including the Booster.
