We are best known for our high-quality, organic, pasture-raised eggs at Mulloon Creek Natural Farms. This is aided by a growing Angus cattle breeding operation. We take pride in our biodynamic pastures and strive to produce nutrient-dense food free of synthetic chemicals while also regenerating our land.
We are looking for motivated and dependable Station Hands to join our expanding team and business. Station hands work across our properties and perform day-to-day farm operations such as livestock handling, machinery operation, and infrastructure and equipment maintenance, reporting to the Farm Manager.
Key tasks include
- handling and mustering livestock in a calm manner, monitoring livestock health and welfare, and performing routine animal husbandry tasks
- basic weed control tasks (identification and treatment)
- basic stock fence upkeep and construction
- tractor operation two-wheel motorcycle operation (must hold or be willing to obtain motorbike license) in addition to general landscaping and property maintenance
- general record keeping and occasional assistance to our poultry team as needed
The farm is 15 minutes from Bungendore, an hour from Canberra, and an hour from the coast. For the right candidate, on-site housing is available. We welcome visa holders to apply, and we have sponsorship available for exceptional candidates.
