Pig Farmer Duties & Responsibilities

The job generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:

• Pig food distribution
• Observing animals for signs of disease and administering treatment if needed
• Checking for optimum ventilation and temperature conditions when performing facility maintenance
• Assisting with difficult births
• carrying out artificial insemination or other breeding tasks
• Organizing garbage removal
• Stock transportation to farms or processing plants
