Ko tā mātou mahi – Our Role
The Graduate Accountant role offers an entry-level pathway into the multi-faceted Kāinga Ora Finance environment. As part of our Graduate Development Programme, you will spend the first two years in six-month rotations within the Finance Shared Services function; working across Treasury Settlements, Purchase to Pay, Finance Systems, Cash Management, and Payables, all while working toward qualifying as an accountant.
You will have the opportunity to work with people who share a passion for Finance and making a positive difference in ‘Building lives and communities by Housing New Zealanders’.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu – What you will bring
To be successful in this role the Graduate Accountant will need;
- Diploma in Accounting/Business/Economics or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Strong interpersonal skills, a supportive and passionate disposition with a real desire to achieve operational excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to negotiate respectfully and communicate the rationale for decisions made
- Project Management and Lean six sigma experience is an advantage
