Ko tā mātou mahi – Our Role

  • The Graduate Accountant role offers an entry-level pathway into the multi-faceted Kāinga Ora Finance environment. As part of our Graduate Development Programme, you will spend the first two years in six-month rotations within the Finance Shared Services function; working across Treasury Settlements, Purchase to Pay, Finance Systems, Cash Management, and Payables, all while working toward qualifying as an accountant.

  • To be successful in this role the Graduate Accountant will need;
  • Diploma in Accounting/Business/Economics or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a supportive and passionate disposition with a real desire to achieve operational excellence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to negotiate respectfully and communicate the rationale for decisions made
  • Project Management and Lean Six Sigma experience is an advantage
