Vice President, Ambulatory Care Jobs in USA at Union Health: Participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of Union Medical Group (UMG) and Union Health (UH) policies pertaining to physician services provided by UH as a physician executive. Report to the Chief Executive Officer and carry out directives to enforce UMG policies on the company’s behalf. Serve as a liaison between UMG and related institutions, such as Union Health System, Inc. and Union Hospital, Inc. Serve as part of and meet with the Union Health executive team.

Support UMG’s initiative to implement quality and clinical cost-effective care to patients, including collateral activity as an accountable care organization (ACO).  Support UMG physicians and professional and support staff to implement identified clinical information technology initiatives as the Vice President for Physician and Ancillary Services may identify and direct.

  • Assist the Vice President for Physician and Ancillary Services in resolving medical staff issues, including patient or other complaints about physician conduct or care. Assist in the recruitment and retention of physicians.
  • As chairperson of the Physician Counsel, you will be in charge of policy, access, quality metrics, and recruitment.
  • Collaborate and interact with physicians, medical directors of related health care organizations, and managed care organizations.
  • Lead the effort to identify, implement, monitor, and account for quality care initiatives at Union Medical Group.

A working knowledge of negotiating value-based care contracts with regional and national payers.
Outstanding problem-solving, change management, and communication abilities
Experience with quality metrics, patient experience, and process improvement is required.
Understanding of dyad relationships and the structure of site lead/practice management
A doctorate in medicine (M.D.) or osteopathic medicine (D.O.) is required.
A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or health administration (MHA) is strongly preferred.
