  • Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD): By prioritizing sustainable architectural and urban solutions, cities and buildings can effectively address their current and future requirements.
  • Engineering Product Development (EPD): Concentrating on cutting-edge, technology-driven products that transcend numerous fields of study
  • Engineering Systems and Design (ESD): concentrating on large-scale, complex systems whose functionality and performance are contingent on their technological and socioeconomic environment.
  • Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD): Information systems that interact with humans, machines, and the physical environment are the focus.
  • Science and Math: Interdisciplinary research with a broad scope, firmly rooted in the foundations of science and mathematics and imbued with practical implications
  • Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS): directing attention toward comprehending technological and social changes by employing illuminating perspectives from the humanities and social sciences

Types of Scholarship SUTD 

1. SUTD President Graduate Fellowship (Ph.D.)

  • Accepted all nationals
  • In full, tuition
  • Monthly stipend of:
    • S$3,500 (Singapore Citizens)
    • S$3,200 (Singapore Permanent Residents)
    • S$3,000 (International Students)
  • CPF contribution (exclusive to Singapore citizens)
  • Support for annual conference funding
  • Sponsored overseas research opportunities, industry apprenticeships, and attachments.

2. SUTD Ph.D. Fellowship

  • Accepted all nationals
  • In full, tuition
  • Monthly stipend of:
    • S$2,700, increased to $3,200 after passing the Qualifying Exam (Singapore Citizens)
    • S$2,200, increased to $2,700 after passing the Qualifying Exam (Singapore Permanent Residents)
    • S$2,000, increased to $2,500 after passing the Qualifying Exam (International Students)
  • CPF contribution (exclusive to Singapore citizens)

The following scholarships are administered by SUTD to applicants to its Ph.D. program on a full-time basis: IPP, Industrial Postgraduate Programme of the Economic Development Board (EDB)

  • Open to Permanent Residents and Citizens of Singapore
  • In full, tuition
  • CPF contribution and monthly salary (remuneration determined by the employer).

Required Documents 

  • Soft reproductions of the original undergraduate and/or master’s degree transcripts and certificates.
  • Report of scores from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
  • “If English was not the medium of instruction during your undergraduate studies, kindly ensure that your IELTS or TOEFL scores are submitted within two weeks from the application deadline.”
  • Report of Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
  • Although optional, strongly advised.
  • Email addresses, titles, and names of three recommendations
  • Significant corroborating documents
  • A digital copy of your identification card or pertinent documents from your passport
