What are Occupation Ceilings?
- An occupation ceiling is a limit on the number of Expressions of Interest (EOI) or invites issued by the Australian Government for a particular professional group.
- This ensures consistency among the various vocations made available to skilled individuals.
- No additional invites will be given for the occupation group that has reached the maximum until the following year.
State or Territory Nominated Occupation, employer-sponsored, and Business Innovation and Investment visa subclasses are not subject to ceilings.

Covid-19 Impact Opens News Doors for Skilled Migrant Workers:
To help Australia rebound from the COVID-19 impact on the economy, the government has announced 17 occupations to satisfy essential skills gaps, as well as priority processing for employer-sponsored nomination and visa applications with an occupation on the PMSOL. How to Apply for Professional Skilled Migration to Australia?
