Hooker & Heijden is searching for outstanding brokers at various levels of expertise, including Assistant / Account Executives, Account Managers, and Account Directors, to handle a variety of portfolios, including those for the Domestic, SME, Commercial, Mid-market, and Corporate segments.

A small sample of our current vacancies includes:

  • Receptionist / Broker Support – $60,000 – $80,000 per package
  • Account Executive – SMB to $90000 per package
  • Account Manager – Commercial up to $130,000 per package

As a result, requirements will vary from position to role, however, as a guideline, we are seeking applicants with the following qualifications:

Most jobs require Tier 1 brokering, but Tier 2 is good enough at the very least. 1 – 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry. (Claims, Insurance, Brokerage)
Exposure to classes includes Personal Lines, Property, Business Packages, Liability, and Financial Lines.
Prior experience with all parts of insurance brokering (or brokering administration), including responding to customer requests, managing the portfolio’s processing and documentation, and handling claims.
Superior communication and negotiating abilities
Capacity to function well in a team setting
IT and office procedure literate
Some experience with Winbeat, Officetech, ibis CBS, and Sunrise.
