HAN University Scholarships In Netherlands -Applied Sciences 2023-2024: Are you a citizen of a country that is not a member of the EU/EEA? Then you might be eligible for a HAN scholarship. They are provided in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE THE HAN SCHOLARSHIPS?

For bachelor students

HAN Holland Fellowship This scholarship provides € 2,500 in the first semester and € 2,500 in the second semester. Following that, you can receive € 2,500 per year for the next three years of study. To qualify for this, you must continue to earn the required 45 credits each year.

Scholarship for Academic Excellence

The Honors Scholarship is unique. You are not required to apply for it. Students with outstanding academic results in their first year are chosen by the study program’s academic board. Who qualifies? Students who fulfilled the minimum requirements but were not awarded a HAN Holland scholarship. In the second year, the payment begins at €2,500. Following that, you can receive € 2,500 for each subsequent year of study. To obtain this, you must complete the required 45 credits each year.

WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES?

  • You are a national of a country that is not a member of the EU/EEA.
  • You have not previously been enrolled in a degree program at a Dutch university or university of applied sciences.
  • You have been admitted to HAN’s full-time English-taught degree program.
  • You have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, a TOEFL iBT score of 90, or a Cambridge Certificate.

IN 5 STEPS, APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP

Apply for and be admitted to a degree program.

Apply to HAN for a degree program. Make sure you are accepted before the deadline listed below. Keep in mind that diplomas and certificates must be evaluated, so apply as soon as possible. You’ve been accepted into the program and have fulfilled all of the scholarship requirements. After that, you’ll get an email inviting you to apply for a scholarship. This is expected to arrive on one of the dates listed below. Please keep in mind that all degrees begin in September, and only a few are also available in February.

Put together your scholarship application

The next step is to prepare the following three items:

  • A letter of motivation. You explain why you will be a successful HAN student here.
  • A brief video of yourself 3 minutes maximum. Consider the following: – Describe yourself and your areas of expertise. – What would your former teachers or friends say about you? – Tell us about your chosen HAN course of study. – Assume you’re part of a team. What role would you play and why, based on your personality and/or experience? – What are your professional goals? What and where do you think you’ll be in 10 years (professionally)?

Follow the instructions in the email invitation. Complete the application. Submit it digitally along with the three items you prepared in step one. 2. Submit prior to:

Take the scholarship

Send a letter of acceptance for the scholarship. When? by the deadline specified in your award notification letter.

FAQS:

Is a scholarship sufficient to cover all expenses?

No. These scholarships will assist you in financing your studies. You must still meet the financial guarantee requirements.

How are the scholarships distributed?

Your scholarship is paid in two installments: March and September.

Are you beginning your studies in February?

Each year, your scholarship is paid in February. Remember that tuition is due in the fall semester.

You will only be paid if and only if the following conditions are met:

You have a Dutch bank account in your name because you are a HAN student.

What about dual citizenship?

Are you a dual citizen? For example, Spanish and Venezuelan. So, EU/EEA versus non-EU/EEA? Your first nationality will be your EU/EEA nationality. This means you are ineligible to apply for a HAN scholarship. However, it entitles you to pay the EU/EEA tuition fee. This is significantly less than the non-EU/EEA fee when combined with a HAN scholarship.

Is it possible to combine scholarships?

HAN scholarships cannot be combined. However, you can combine a HAN scholarship with another organization’s scholarship.
