Fully Funded Miami Stamps University Scholarship for Exceptional Students 2023: The Stamps Scholarship is the most prestigious merit award offered to University of Miami students. This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who are exceptional and academically accomplished. Stamps Scholars receive a merit award equal to the total cost of their undergraduate education for four years. The award consists of tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, university health insurance, textbooks, a laptop allowance, and access to a $12,000 enrichment fund that can be used for study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, and other educational pursuits. (Enrichment fund expenditures are subject to prior approval by the Provost’s Office.)

Inclusion in the Stamps Scholars on-campus and national communities, funding to support academic and scientific research projects, cultural and leadership programs, study abroad, conventions, and other regional conferences, and invitations to online events and networking opportunities are additional benefits of the Stamps Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Early Action and Early Decision I applicants are automatically considered for early admission to the University of Michigan if they submit all First-Year Admission Requirements by November 1.

Selection Process

  • Selected semi-finalist candidates for the Stamps Scholarship are required to compose a brief essay in response to a given prompt.
  • Finalists will be selected based on a review of candidates’ applications and supporting documents, including their responses to the predetermined essay prompt, and will be notified of their status as finalists in late January, at the time of admission.
  • The Stamps Family Charitable Foundation will then conduct interviews with the finalists, and the Stamps Scholarship winners will be announced in early March.

Terms and Conditions

A Stamps Scholar must complete at least 12 credit hours in each of the fall and spring semesters, for a total of 24 credit hours per academic year. At the University of Miami, a minimum GPA of 3.0 must be maintained for the academic year, with the initial calculation occurring at the end of the second semester. The award is subject to change pending the receipt of any unanticipated grant, scholarship, or prepaid tuition and/or housing aid.
