The following subjects are available for study through this scholarship program.
Benefits of All Subjects Scholarships:
The Cambridge International Scholarships and Vice-Awards Chancellor’s aim is to ensure that the highest-scoring students, regardless of nationality, receive full financial support to pursue Ph.D. studies. The Scholarships cover the University Composition Fee as well as a living allowance for a single person.
Both international and domestic students from Ireland are eligible to apply for the scholarships listed below.
In order to maximize the number of Scholarships awarded, the Trust will promote winners of Cambridge International Scholarships and Vice-Awards Chancellors to other full-cost awards with partner organizations, UK Research Councils, Departments, or Colleges, who are willing to provide either the full or a portion of the scholarship cost. If a portion of the cost of a scholarship is offered, the Trust will cover the remainder.
Applicants who wish to begin their PhDs in the following academic year must apply by either December 1, 2023, or January 5, 2024, depending on the course. Please see the ‘Application & Funding Deadlines’ section of the Postgraduate Admissions webpage.
All applicants should complete the funding section of the online application form via the Applicant Portal, ticking the box to express their “wish to be considered for funding” and filling out the Cambridge Trust section.
All Ph.D. applicants from all disciplines will be scored by a University Committee. Academic qualifications, references, and research potential are the only factors considered in agreeing to this list. The financial circumstances of applicants have no bearing on the selection of scholarship winners.
The Trust’s award period lasts from March to the end of July and is a continuous process throughout. In March, we make the majority of our full awards. Some of our partner-funded awards can take time, and we may be able to offer them elsewhere if they are declined. If you are the winner of one of these awards, you will be notified.
