Nanny wanted for farming family (2nd-year visa applicable)

  • We are looking for a nanny who is enthusiastic, organized, and has a genuine love for children to look after our four children Eliza (10), Maggie (8), Charles (7), and August (2). I work full-time and occasionally have to travel for work so we are looking for someone to take care of the kids and keep our family happy and (relatively) calm! We would love to introduce someone to our family and our farming life in rural Australia!
  • We live on a large grain and sheep farm in a place called Warren in Western NSW. My husband works full-time on the farm and I run an off-farm business. We will need a nanny to work 5 days a week. Currently, Eliza, Maggie, and Charlie are in school 5 days a week, while August is in daycare for part of the week. Days will include taking the children to school and after-school activities, cooking, organizing lunches, helping with household chores (eg cleaning/laundry, etc), and watching over them on their home days after August.
  • You will get weekends off (although occasionally, you may be required to work weekends and take time off during the week).
  • We live on a farm 45 km from a small town so it is quite far. Your living quarters will be close to (but separate from) our family home. You will have your room in a house shared with other farm staff. There is a lounge room, two bathrooms, Wi-Fi, etc. We look forward to welcoming you into our family but also recognize the importance of allowing you to be independent and have some fun when not at work! We are also about an hour away from a large town called Dubbo which has lots of shops/bars/movie cinemas/services etc.
  • If you want to experience the authentic Australian outback, this is a great opportunity. Lots of kangaroos, emus, and skies full of open stars.
  • Our ideal candidate will be organized, responsible, and energetic, with a flexible approach to work. They will show initiative, love children and take an interest in country life.
