“This is primarily due to factors such as the skill requirements of the job (which are aligned with the degree) and the degrees typically held by professionals currently employed in the respective professions,” the report explained.

In an effort to grow and develop its economy, the United Kingdom has been flexible with its immigration routes, in part due to its withdrawal from the European Union (Brexit). The withdrawal created a large number of middle- and low-level job openings in the country.

According to the authors of the Erudera report, the increasing number of job openings in this sector represents an exciting opportunity for aspiring scientists to contribute to this field in the United Kingdom.

This sector is projected to experience a 4.2% increase in employment by 2027, creating approximately 4,500 new positions.

Architects (£13.50 per hour)

London and the South East (England) are the regions with the greatest concentration of architectural employment opportunities. They also provide the best employment opportunities for architects seeking employment.

According to the government of the United Kingdom, the sector is projected to experience a 4.3 percent increase in employment opportunities by 2027, resulting in approximately 2,900 new job opportunities.

During the same time period, 55.3% of the current workforce is projected to retire, resulting in the creation of 37,700 vacancies.

The Architects Registration Board (ARD) of the United Kingdom stated that the distribution of architects is unbalanced, with half of all architects residing in London and the South East, compared to only 27% of the population.
