Summary of Position:
The delivery of skilled patient care must be evaluated, planned, coordinated, and delegated by the clinical assistant nurse manager. The quality of care given to patients is directly under this position’s control, and it has the power to oversee patient care, impart knowledge, look for resources at the departmental or unit level, and assign the proper responsibilities.
To administer, supervise, delegate, and evaluate nursing practice, the Clinical Assist Nurse Manager employs specific knowledge. A significant amount of specialized knowledge, judgment, and abilities are needed for this role, as well as the ability to use critical thinking when making judgments about patient care that consider the knowledge of and integrate relevant standards, resources, and data. To guarantee safe, timely, efficient, and effective patient-centered quality outcomes, the position works with patients, families, the patient care team, and community/regulatory authorities.
Minimum Conditions:
Experience in an acute care setting for three or more years is preferred.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse Licensure
- BSN is needed.
- if at the time of hiring, the clinical assistant nurse manager lacked a BSN. Within three years of accepting employment, the BSN must be finished. Within a year of accepting the employment, ongoing enrollment in a nursing program with accreditation.
- current CPR certification at the health care provider level
- Depending on the facility or department, certification in ACLS, NALS, PALS, or TNCC may be necessary.
